We wholly take over Adelaide, her surrounding suburbs and even some regional areas of South Australia for 31 magical days and nights each year. The city practically pulses with creativity. Our atmosphere is indescribable, but here are some words that almost do the job mythical, magical, fantabulous, fantasmagorical, supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. You get the idea we’re one in a million. Around most of Adelaide’s corners, whether in an alleyway, a tent, a pub, a laundromat or an abandoned hospital for the criminally insane, you’ll be bound to find Fringe goodness in some shape or form. The urgent thing about us is that we’re originate access, which means that we don’t have a curator handpicking shows. Anyone who wants to be a segment of the Adelaide Fringe, can! We bear a way for artists across all disciplines to share their labor with the world. With release events, ground breaking work, fresh talent, innovative thinking and original voices, we’re for everyone. To put it simply, we’re your festival wonderland! So lengthy as they’re not doing anything illegal. There is a sense of freedom here of expression, of movement, of thought. Every corner of the city has a mass of people and families, eating out at one of more than 700 restaurants, pubs, cafes or nippy outdoor dining areas, or maybe fair sitting back enjoying an excellent local wine or beer in a funky lane way bar. During the day the sun is radiant (it can get to a whopping 40 degrees). Follow the locals and head one of many outstanding beaches or seek some respite in the coolness of the Adelaide Hills. Then return to the city at night in time to head out to play under the balmy summer night stars. Behind all, it’s festival time in the city. Other attractions that are worth a visit while in Adelaide include the famous Adelaide Oval, the home of Sir Donald Brahman the maximum batsman in the history of cricket. There’s great shopping in bundle Mall and that’s also where you will also find our Fringe in the Mall showcase stage, buzzing with all the Fringe artists.
