Volunteering is a vital piece of the South Australian way of life generating vast community spirit and helping to make our neighborhoods welcoming, sound and inclusive. Whether it is delivering meals, helping others in an emergency, patrolling our beaches, running our sporting clubs or supporting the needs of others, volunteers make a real difference to our lives and to the community in which we live. Through these agreements, the Office for Volunteers has worked in partnership with the volunteer community, to create a variety of resources, programs and events to help support and prosper volunteerism in South Australia.

The Office for Volunteers provides advice to the Minister for Volunteers and delivers urge programs that contribute to the government’s priorities of building the capacity of community organizations to be sustainable in years to come, and encouraging all citizens to participate in community life and care for each other. Each year a range of speakers are invited to address the volunteer community. To assist you, the Office for Volunteers has developed two levels of certificates, which can be awarded to admit the participation and valuable contribution of volunteers. The volunteers urge maintenance labor and ensure stations are sound and accessible. Scholarships are awarded in recognition of young volunteers who are currently involved in volunteering, have history of community participation, and have demonstrated their personal motivation and interest in the community and continued volunteering. Together, the group has worked in partnership with the South Australian Government's Office for Volunteers to develop tools and resources, aimed at helping community organizations amplify their cultural awareness and to also get ready to begin engaging CAD communities in their volunteer programs.
