The Office for Women provides executive support to the Premier's Council for Women. The Premier's Council for Women works at a strategic smooth to effect change. Advise the Premier and Minister for the Status of Women. The Council is dedicated to consecutive improvement and effective action. It commits time and effort to considering which issues to take on and how to exercise influence, make an impact and assess the impact of its actions. The Australian Human Rights Commission investigates complaints about discrimination and breaches of human rights including discrimination, harassment and bullying based on a person’s sex, disability, race and age. They can aid with matters including family law, criminal law, stolen generation compensation claims, and money issues. Their community youth workers and mentors can produce information, advice, support, group programs and much more. They offer English classes to eligible newly arrived migrants and refugees. They also provide support to friends and family members. They give a range of supports for young people who are experiencing a drastic time or who may be worried about their mental health. MAYFS provides culturally specific services to promote young Aboriginal people and their families.
